The relevance of the problem is related to the peculiarities of the structure of phraseological units and their meaning, which deeply reflect the national perception and understanding of the world by speakers of a particular culture, often leading to a lack of understanding of this specific character by speakers of other languages. The results of the research have revealed that the development of contemporary cognitive studies facilitate the process of investigating phrasemes taking into account the advanced researches in this field. This entails exploring them not solely as artifacts of national and cultural heritage but also as a valuable source for the cognitive processes understanding that leads to the phenomenon of phraseologization. The aim of the present study is to identify the ethnocultural peculiarities of Ukrainian and Chinese phrases by analyzing their structural organization and determining the mechanism of semantic content in human discourse. Ethic and cultural peculiarity of Chinese phrases differs much from that of the Ukrainian language. It is determined by two factors structural and semantic. The first is connected with the symmetry of phrases. Symmetry and pronunciation have special position in Chinese phrasemics structure. The second factor is connected to deeper understanding of the conceptual sphere of both languages in focus.
