Key words: folklore discourse, institutional (subcultural) type of discourse.
The article deals with the all-sided study of the folklore discourse in current linguistics. The relevance of the institutional (subcultural) type of discourse distinctive features for folklore discourse is established and the complexity of the folklore discourse description is defined; the processes that characterize the folklore discourse have been revealed.
